Weapons Policy

All weapon props must be checked at the weapon check prior to making your way onto the con floor. Weapon check will be across from registration in a booth. You won’t miss them.

Firearms that look like the real thing will not be allowed in the convention center under any circumstances. Firearms that actually fire (such as Airsoft or other paintball weapons) will also not be allowed in the event center unless they are NERF (it’s NERF or Nothin’). If the weapon prop is not obviously fake it will not be allowed.

Live steel is not allowed. Swords and knives must be prop replicas. The real thing will not be permitted on the con floor. Swords, knives, daggers, etc, which are purchased in the vendor room must remain in their sealed containers/boxes/wrapping or be taken immediately off the con floor after purchase.

At any time you may be asked to present your weapon to any member of UmiCon or Ocean Center staff. Purchase of a pass to the show implies consent to this policy and your pass may be revoked (without refund) if you fail to do so.
